Harold W. King 1926 – 2011

Harold King was a strong influence on the Scouting movement in Osoyoos, Kubau (Okanagan Boundary) District and, latterly, in the Oliver area. While Harold focussed mainly on Boy Scout programming his brother, Geoffrey, had an enduring and strong impact on Wolf Cubs in Osoyoos.

Harold started his contribution as an adult when he became Assistant Scoutmaster of the 1st Osoyoos Troop in 1948.

From 1949 to 1962 he served as Scoutmaster of the 1st Osoyoos Troop.

He then filled the position of District Commissioner of Kubau District from 1962 to 1970.

From 1970 to 1974 he served as Assistant Scoutmaster of the new 2nd Oliver Troop.

From 1974 to 1979 he was Assistant Cubmaster of the 2nd Oliver Wolf Cubs.
